When the people you work with become a family with a mission....

This week our church staffed gathered to celebrate the Christmas season with our annual Christmas staff party. I’m the new guy here so I am kind of lurking on the outside of these traditions to see which ones they invite me into and which ones they allow me to lead.

After dinner and a hilarious gift exchange we did something new. We shared what we were and are thankful for. People shared deeply. It honestly felt as if a new spirit had entered into the room. As if God was sweeping away the past and allowing us to glimpse the future together. We thank God for you Oceanside Presbyterian!
